So many celebs, so little time.

Normally, I have a dream with a famous guest star about once a week, but while I've been traveling I've had one almost every night. The only problem is that if the dream occurs too close to another dream, I will forget the previous one. Such was the case with my dream featuring Nathan Fillion and the "Castle" crew. Sadly all I can remember is that I had one.

Last night, my luck was not much better. I had a dream that I was having dinner with my friend, Kim, and Chris Hemsworth. I have a cousin that reminds me a lot of him and I was dying to tell him. My friend knew this and kept trying to subtly tell me to not do it. I did anyway and sure enough he was not impressed. He seemed bored and soon, the dinner was over and he was gone. Ha! Should have listened to my friend.

My Wednesday night on TV

I had two very different dreams last night featuring celebrities, but both in the context of the respective TV shows. (I must be missing watching my regular shows.)

The first dream was "Inside Amy Schumer". The dream started out with me showing my real life friend Amy the show (which I've wanted to do since the first time I watched it), but suddenly my friend Amy is Amy Schumer and we're roommates with another girl, too. For some reason, a large part of the dream focuses on what a slob Amy is: she eats in her bed, so there are tons of food crumbs in between her sheets. She doesn't seem to mind and I, of course, thinks it's disgusting but funny. (I did wake myself up laughing a lot during this dream.)

As I mentioned, we have a roommate. She's a super skinny model-type and she brings men home left and right. This particular night, she brings home a guy and a bag of groceries. Because Amy eats in bed we don't think anything of it when she takes the bag into the bedroom with her but when all is said and done, we find out they were using whipped cream as part of their fun and it is rubbed into the carpet in the shapes of the positions they were in. We find it gross and hilarious at the same time. (And I am the only one who wonders how we're  going to clean it up.)

The next dream I had is for "black-ish". I'm one of the children in the family and it's my turn to cook. All the other kids are complaining about how bored with normal food they are that I decide to mix things up and have the kids help customize their own food. The oldest girl, Zoey, is loving the idea and going to town with customizing her food to her tastes, but something comes up and we don't get to finish the project. Suddenly we're all in the kitchen together, including Dre's mother. We need to all chip in to get everything made for a big dinner that we're  hosting and here's where it gets weird. For some reason, I feel like my contributions are not being taken seriously. In the dream I have evil powers to hurt people. Sometimes, when I get upset, my powers get out of my control. That's exactly what happens in this case. In the dream, Bow is pregnant and when my powers explode, they slice her mid drift in two. I run away in shame and horror at my own powers. After awhile, Dre comes to get me and tell me everything is okay. Somehow, Bow and the baby are alright and everything is good to go for the dinner. I look over the food and when I see that my dish was changed into something else, I secretly get mad.

What whacky dreams...

An elementary kind of dream...

Last night's dream was an unusual one because the only dream I remember is one that seems to have lasted the entire night. While I know that cannot be the case, still, it was odd. I dreamed that I was Watson on Elementary. Being Lucy Liu in my dreams was awesome - I mean, who wouldn't want to be Lucy Liu for just a bit? Anyway, in my dream, I was emotionally confused about Sherlock (of course played by Jonny Lee Miller).

The first part of the dream featured driving around in a little white truck that resembled a kei-tora (a very small truck popular in Asia where the motor is basically a motorcycle engine) and a golf cart. It was winter and it was cold. We were running errands and Sherlock was driving. For some reason I was in the left, back seat and the steering wheel was on the right side of the car. I meekly asked if I could come and sit next to Sherlock where I knew it would be warmer, but he told me that it was safer for me in the backseat in case of collision.

We were running errands, but I didn't know quite what for. Then, as if it were a TV show, I saw a flashback of when Sherlock was in England and he had been a teenager. He had been driving a lorry and while in the countryside, found an abandoned child. Feeling bad for the child, he had picked it up unconscious. When the child awoke, it turned into a hell-child and it was all he could do to defend himself from it. It had a razor on a string that it was very good at wielding. After a struggle, Sherlock managed to turn the blade on the child and it scalped him. All this struggle had happened while the truck was in motion. And after the razor cut the child, he fell by the wayside and Sherlock continued to drive away.

Flashforward back to my dream. Sherlock somehow knows that the child did not die, but is in fact in New York and looking for revenge. When the grown child appears, the top of his head is bald and scarred where the razor had cut off his scalp. He's hard to miss. Because I had strong feelings for Sherlock, I tried to fend off the hell-child. He was very strong. In the dream, I could do Charlie's Angels-like moves (Lucy was in that too!), but he bested me at every step. Eventually, I knew he was going to get to Sherlock. It was right at the moment of confrontation that I woke up.

Somewhere in the dream, I told Sherlock that I was moving in order to gauge how he felt about me. His disappointment was palpable even though he said nothing. My heart fluttered, but I still knew that he would make no move to stop me or let me know how he felt.

It was such an involved dream that it left me with a dream hangover. It cast a surreal pall on the day.
